A connected Shopify store can receive an eligible approved creator collaboration as a 100%-off gift handoff. The brand still approves the creator, selects the product, controls fulfilment, and can choose merchant-configured tracking terms.
01
The conditions before an order exists
The workflow does not begin by silently creating products or orders. First, a tailored creator pitch is accepted and its terms are recorded. The brand reviews that opportunity and approves or passes. Only an approved collaboration can move toward gifting, and only when the connected Shopify store, product settings and accepted terms support the intended gift.
For eligible gift-code collaborations, the creator receives a code for the selected product and chooses to place an order in Shopify. They enter delivery information directly at checkout. The collaboration record distinguishes approval, the code email, redemption, shipment, and later content submission.
Creator acceptance is recorded before brand review.
Brand approval is required before order creation.
The connected store remains the system used to fulfil and track the gift.
02
What Shopify connection does and does not solve
The authenticated Shopify connection binds the store to the dashboard without exposing an Admin token to the website. Eligible approvals preserve a link between the creator, gift order, tracking code, and later redemption metadata. The brand remains responsible for inventory, product eligibility, shipping configuration, and fulfilment decisions.
Connection does not make a creator accept product, ensure delivery, compel a post, guarantee a submission date, or produce a performance outcome. Carrier events and store errors may interrupt the flow. When a step cannot proceed, the record should show the relevant state so the brand can review it rather than treating approval as proof of shipment.
03
After shipment: submission, QC, and rights
When an eligible gift is created and a shipment is actually recorded, creator-side steps in the accepted collaboration can follow. Creator submission and partnership confirmation then move into quality control, where the brand and operating team distinguish content received from content still expected while retaining the accepted pitch context.
A specific rights record follows the applicable asset and terms. Partnership-ad access is a separate optional agreement, with its own content, dates, and any extra fee. Shopify order creation does not grant content rights, and a creator’s post does not automatically create perpetual, transferable, or sublicensable permission. Paid creator work and standalone UGC production may require different compensation and rights terms from barter-first gifting.
04
Capacity, timing, and stalled collaborations
UGC Bakery pricing describes managed creator capacity, beginning with the first five collaborations free for every new brand and continuing with published CAD options. Capacity is not a promise that the same number of creators will accept, receive product, submit, or post within a billing month. Brand review, inventory, store readiness, shipping, and creator participation all shape the actual pace.
A non-delivery or flake sweep helps surface collaborations that have stopped progressing, but it does not promise an automatic replacement or universal remedy. The accepted engagement terms govern next steps. Start free opens brand account sign-in. Questions about Shopify readiness can go to info@ugcbakery.com; an inquiry does not reserve service capacity.
Useful before you approve
Questions, answered plainly
Does UGC Bakery create a Shopify order as soon as a creator says yes?
No. Eligible approval queues a gift-code request for the selected product in the connected store. The creator chooses to place an order using that code and enters their delivery address at checkout. Approval alone is not an order or shipment.
Is the creator gift a normal paid order?
The gift code covers the eligible selected product according to its terms. The creator chooses whether to redeem it at checkout. Product availability, shipping settings, and fulfilment remain under brand control; approval alone does not create an order.
Does Shopify tracking confirm that content was posted?
No. Tracking describes the product shipment. Creator submission, partnership confirmation, quality control, posting, and rights are separate collaboration milestones.
What if the creator does not complete the collaboration?
A non-delivery or flake sweep can identify stalled work. Any replacement or other remedy depends on accepted engagement terms and is not automatic.
